Stock Transfer and Stock Transfer History.

Stock Transfer is the act of moving goods from one store to another. No additional charges or costs to other stores are used in this process.

  1. Navigate to Stock > Stock Transfer.

 2. After clicking on stock transfer you will be directed to STOCK TRANSFER screen.

  • Search for the items manually by barcode, product name or description, if you have a scanner attached to the pc you can scan your items with the cursor focused on the barcode screen and it will appear on this screen.
  • Adding an item the cart by default sets the count to 1.
  • On the RHS you can add or remove quantities in the Qty field, ensure that you press ENTER after updating the qty for a line item in order to update the quantity in the cart.
  • If you use locators in your business , the correct locators need to be selected here per item.
  • FROM WAREHOUSE Allows the selection of the warehouse from which you would be sending stock out from. The quantity on hand will be deducted from this warehouse; By default this would be the warehouse of the terminal that is currently logged in.
  • TO WAREHOUSE Allows the selection of the warehouse from which you would be sending stock to, Upon confirmation (based on configurations) this is the warehouse where the inventory level will increase.
  • By clicking on save, this drafts the stock transfer and can be attended to at another stage.
  • Click on INVOKE to call up a saved document.
  • Click on complete to finalise the transfer.

STOCK TRANSFER HISTORY

  1. Navigate to Stock Transfer history.

2. After clicking on stock transfer history you will be directed to this screen shown below:

  • You can search by movement date or document number.
  • FROM WAREHOUSE Allows the selection of the warehouse from which you would be sending stock out from. The quantity on hand will be deducted from this warehouse; By default this would be the warehouse of the terminal that is currently logged in.
  • TO WAREHOUSE Allows the selection of the warehouse from which you would be sending stock to, Upon confirmation (based on configurations) this is the warehouse where the inventory level will increase.
  • You can choose summary by document no ,product or product category to structure the grid accordingly.

3. Press search.

A report will populate like the one below showing details for the date range selected.

  • STATUS: A stock transfer document can have one of 4 statuses:
    • Completed: this means the transfer has been accepted at the other store.once completed it can not be edited.
    • In progress: The transfer has not yet been accepted at the receiving store when in-transit warehouses are not in use.
    • In transit: The transfer has not been accepted at the receiving store and stock is moved to an in transit warehouse until accepted, this is used for tracking in transit stock.
    • Drafted: The stock transfer was saved and not completed.
  • *Note: A configuration can be set up by the GROWORX team to automatically complete a stock transfer without any confirmation; In this event, once the sending warehouse completes the transfer, the inventory values are automatically updated at the recieving warehouse.
